Your heating system starts at your oil burner. To keep your oil burner operating properly and to maintain optimum efficiency, your oil burner needs to be serviced regularly. This Service Plan is priced at $279.00 and includes one annual oil burner tune-up. In other words, if you have the Service Plan, one tune-up per year is free. Purchased separately, each tune-up costs $169.95. The coverage under the Service Plan is for one year from June 1-May 31.

After April 1st each year, the tune-up is done for the next heating season. If you don't opt for the Service Plan for the next heating season and if the tune-up has already been done, you will be billed for the tune-up at the prevailing rate.

BURNER MAINTENANCE PLAN
Annual maintenance saves fuel and eliminates costly emergency repairs. A properly tuned oil burner, similar to your automobile, will operate at peak efficiency and reduce your fuel consumption.

Kerivan-Lane offers you the opportunity to protect your investment against costly repairs, and start the heating season with a properly tuned heating system.

The Annual Burner Maintenance Plan costs $279.00 and the charges are billed through the Account Statement sent to you at the end of May every year.

    #1. Annual Burner Tune-Up & Efficiency

    If purchased separately, this service would cost $169.95; it is included in the price of this maintenance agreement. The annual burner tune-up consists of the following steps:

    Clean boiler or furnace flue
    Replace oil filter and gasket, fuel pump strainer, burner nozzle
    Check fuel flow
    Adjust flame ignitors
    Test Transformer and high tension leads
    Inspect burner end cone
    Clean burner fan and air shutter
    Inspect burner pump coupling
    Test flame safety lockout
    Test high temperature limit safety
    Test low water cutoff (steam system only)
    Drain expansion tank if necessary
    Test service switch operation
    Lubricate burner motors
    Lubricate circulator motors/blower motors
    Inspect belts and air filter (warm air system)

    This burner tune-up is arranged by calling our office weekdays 8 am-4 pm with reasonable entry arrangements.

    Customer must call to arrange for their annual tune-up between the months of April-October

Terms, Conditions , & Exclusions

Eligibility—Burner maintenance agreements are available exclusively to our customers, who are on automatic delivery, who use a minimum of 500 gallons of oil per year and whose accounts are not past due. Service agreements are automatically void and non-refundable if the customer buys oil or service elsewhere or account is past due. This agreement is void and non-refundable if customer terminates oil delivery or entry arrangements are not allowed or reasonable.

Service Hours—Annual tune-ups & scheduled service must be performed during regular service hours 8 am—4 pm & reasonable entry arrangements must be made. Emergency service refers to no heat/hot water, smoke, or leaks. Note: No heat calls do not constitute emergency during the warm weather May—September.
Inspection— We reserve the right to inspect equipment prior to maintenance agreement coverage.

Unserviceable Parts— Our obligation to repair or replace parts is subject to their availability through normal sources. We are not obligated to service equipment with design defects or which are obsolete or unserviceable. We will notify the customer should this problem occur during the terms of this agreement.

Excluded from the coverage
Kerivan-Lane’s Burner Maintenance Agreement is extensive, but no oil company covers every part in your heating system. Furthermore, standard hourly labor charges will apply to any service performed to repair or replace a part which is not covered.

Excluded: All water related parts, water piping, devices used to maintain water levels or pressures, water valves, tankless heaters & accessories, humidifiers, zone valves, oil tanks, oil tank sludge, oil lines, blocked oil lines, direct drive blower motor, blower, power venter, power venter parts, clock thermostats, circulators, low-water cutoffs, combustion chambers, and triple aquastats. This agreement does not cover damage due to fire, flood, storms, freezing, power failure/surge, or other uncontrollable acts.
